Recently, the founder of the Blockchain project TRON ( has been embroiled in a legal dispute with a well-known media outlet. This blockchain entrepreneur has filed a lawsuit against Bloomberg and is seeking a temporary restraining order, claiming that the media published allegedly false and confidential financial information in its billionaire rankings.
The controversy began with Bloomberg's latest Billionaires Index. On the official TRON blog, a representative of the founder stated that the profile released by Bloomberg contained inaccurate data that severely distorted the founder's actual asset situation.
According to reports, before Bloomberg released its related report, the founder of TRON had sent a cease-and-desist letter to the media on August 2, intending to prevent it from publicly disclosing information about cryptocurrency holdings. However, Bloomberg seems to have not adopted this request and confirmed that it will continue to publish related articles.
The blockchain entrepreneur emphasized in a blog post that Bloomberg's report wrongly attributed certain cryptocurrency holdings to him, whereas he has never owned, controlled, or held any actual interest in those cryptocurrencies. At the same time, he stated that the report also failed to accurately reflect the actual number of cryptocurrencies he holds.
In the legal complaint, the founder stated that disclosing his cryptocurrency holdings could result in significant harm and expose him to risks such as theft, hacking, kidnapping, and even jeopardize the personal safety of himself and his family.
This incident has sparked discussions in the industry regarding the accuracy of media reports and the privacy protection of high-net-worth individuals. With the rapid development of the cryptocurrency industry, the wealth status of relevant practitioners has increasingly become a focus of public attention, and how to strike a balance between the public's right to know and personal privacy protection has become a question worth pondering.
