The Russian Ministry of Energy has established a registration system for crypto mining equipment in conjunction with the Federal Tax Service and the Ministry of Digital Development.

According to Techub News and reports from the Russian News Agency, the Russian Ministry of Energy, in conjunction with the Federal Tax Service and the Ministry of Digital Development, has established a national registration system for crypto mining equipment and has distributed it to areas with active miners. Deputy Minister of Energy Petr Konyushenko stated that the system can accurately identify users of electricity for mining, facilitating specialized supervision and tax collection.

Russia passed a crypto mining law last year. According to this law, Russian legal entities, individual entrepreneurs, and citizens of the Russian Federation are all entitled to participate in Mining. At the same time, legal entities and individual entrepreneurs must register with the Federal Tax Service. Citizens who are not registered as individual entrepreneurs may engage in digital currency mining without registration, as long as they do not exceed the energy consumption limits set by the government. According to this law, all Miners must provide the Federal Tax Service with data on the digital currencies they have mined.
